If you’d told me three years ago, when I stood nervously behind a tiny camping table with just a handful of duftvoks, that one day I’d be running a 3-table stand at Villmarksdagan… I probably would’ve laughed and gone back to stressing about my Norwegian.
Started from the bottom, now we’re here.
Setup on Friday began with one table. Then two. And then I realised… nope, I need three to fit it all. Such a small detail, but for me it was a pinch-me moment. Three years ago I hid my nerves behind one little table of wax melts. Now I’m filling the space with duftlys, duftpinner and duftvoks, each piece handmade in my workshop, carrying a bit of northern magic.
Fast forward now and wow! My heart is still full.
The reality check I needed
Running Scents of Salten can be a little solitary, most days I’m making, packing and shipping in my own quiet rhythm. Villmarksdagan is my summer reality check. Real smiles, real reactions, real hugs. And hearing that some of you came to the event just for my products? (Hello?? How cool is that!)
It’s enough to make me emotional. And yes, I text my mom about it, I scribble it down in my diary, and I lie awake at night buzzing with their love and energy.

The webshop is open again (hi, since you’re reading this 😉), and I’ve adjusted stock after Saturday’s buying storm. I’ll be topping up through the week so if you’re hunting something specific, send me a message and I’ll try to help.
Behind the scenes there’s a lot moving (I’ll share a fuller update soon; some good news, some tough-but-true). A tiny glimpse behind the veil: I’m shifting to seasonal drops so I can pour in focused batches and keep quality high. I’ll likely reopen pre-orders (it worked well last time), with Local Pickup for nearby folks and a clear shipping/pickup window so you know exactly when to expect your goodies. Next up: a small Autumn collection, then the big Christmas drop (I hear Mariah defrosting as we speak).
