Three years ago Scents of Salten started at my kitchen table. Today it’s an online shop, a little workshop you can visit, and our products are (soon) stocked in a few beautiful places. That growth is exciting, and a little overwhelming in the best way.
With growth comes responsibility: better materials, better tools, better systems. We’re using A‑grade soy wax, sturdier glass, upgraded equipment and stricter safety routines. The scents you love are more consistent and more beautiful. However, it costs more to do it right.
As a rockstar legend says: I’m going through changes.
Moving from “handmade with love” to a sustainable small business means rethinking pricing and how I release products. I want Scents of Salten to be here for years, not months. So here's what's changing and what's coming next.

Duftlys: bigger option, gentle steps
Starting with our biggest change, quite literally! We’ve been moving from grey to transparent vessels, but now they will also become bigger. From Autumn 2025, we are rolling out and shifting to larger candles that holds 200 grams of wax, which gives you around 40-48 hrs of burn time. We are going to introduce these candles for 329 NOK. Our original sized candles will stay at their original price, while stock lasts. -
Duftpinner (reed diffusers): starterset + refill
To reduce waste (and your shelf of empty bottles), we are soon launching our diffusers into several parts:
- A starter kit (glass + 5 white reeds + 100 ml fragrance): 329 NOK
- We are rolling out a refill option, that gives you 100 ml) + fresh reeds: 229 NOK
Same clean base, same Scents of Salten blends; now with an easier, lighter footprint. -
Duftvoks: new look and subscription service
We are giving our waxmelts a little revamp, you'll receive soon more information about this. But the most exciting news is that we are going to offer a waxmelt subscription service where you can receive 2 packs of waxmelts monthly for a discounted price.
How I’ll release products
How I sell is changing, too. I’m moving to seasonal drops. This lets me pour in focused batches, keep quality high, and stop wasting money on constant small imports.

Will the old candles disappear?
Not overnight. The original will stay while stock lasts. The big candles will becomes the new standard.
Why not keep everything at the old prices?
Because I want to keep making these well. The new prices reflect real materials, time and overhead, so Scents of Salten can thrive long-term.
Are the scents changing?
No. Same beloved blends, just more product and better presentation :).
